Our COVID-19 strategy
- Are you staying open?
Yes, absolutely. This business has been around since 1985 and I hope it will continue to trade for many years to come. COVID-19 is a grave threat to us, though, as events are being cancelled everywhere and our main business is printing tickets. To keep our business alive we WILL have to make some fundamental changes. Wherever possible we plan to protect our staff from job losses or financial losses. We also aim to continue to provide the best service we can to our customers. We want to stay helpful and contactable. If you have a problem we want to try and help. We don't know exactly what to expect in the coming months but we're ready to be creative with our working hours and our major financial outgoings.
- Are delivery timescales affected?
We don't expect delivery timescales to change for the forseeable future. It would a nice problem to have if we had so much work that we can't keep up. We don't expect that to be the case.
- Will your working hours be affected?
Definitely yes. All of our staff have families with school age children. We offering all our staff the ability to work whatever hours they need to in order to make sure their children are looked after. This will mean there will be times during the traditional work day when there isn't anyone in the office to answer the phone. However we do all check the email box throughout the day and you could get a faster response from us if you use email.
- Will I still be able to phone you if I need help?
We do plan to keep answering the phone but as the working hours of our staff change there will be times during the day when there isn't anyone in the office to answer the phone. Please use email to contact us as your first option. You'll likely get a faster response that way.
- I might need to sell vouchers instead of tickets. Can you help?
First of all - congratulations on showing some creative thinking about how to keep your business afloat. Yes of course we'd love to help you design whatever you need. We have a couple of great designers within the business with years of experience of laying out tickets, vouchers and wristbands. Please send us an email with your ideas and we'll get back to you with what we can do to help.
- I'm struggling with producing the vouchers I need for my organisation
It's ok, we'll help. This is a stressful and difficult time for all of us. We aim to be extra helpful while this is going on. If you need help designing a ticket or voucher we're available and will do our level best to help. Your best bet to get a quick response from us is to email us rather than phone since our staff working hours will be moving around a bit and there won't always be someone available to answer the phone.
- Isn't it risky for your staff to come to work?
For once it's a boon for us to be a very small business. There are only 5 of us including the directors and typically there are only 2 people in the office sitting at opposite ends of the building. This means we can come to work safely where we are diligent about keeping our hands clean.
- Can COVID-19 be transmitted on items you post out?
A recent Harvard study showed that the CV19 virus can survive up to 24 hours on cardboard and 2-3 days on plastic. Tickets and vouchers are handled minimally during the production process and we are being extra careful at the moment about keeping our hands clean. No staff will come to work if they have any kind of symptoms. We do usually put a plastic cover on voucher or ticket books. Please let us know if you don't want that. If you want to be extra careful you should wipe down the outside of parcels you receive with soapy water or 60%+ alcohol and do not handle the tickets or vouchers inside for 24 hours before use.
- What about cancelled events where we already bought tickets?
If we've not already produced your tickets then we will be happy to cancel it and provide a full refund. Where orders have been printed and sent out I'm afraid we aren't able to do that.
